Each member shall be appointed by the City Commission
Each appointed member shall serve an indefinite term and may be replaced at any time by a majority vote of the City Commission.
3 of the members must be representatives of the real estate development, or building industries who are not employees or officials of a political subdivision or governmental entity
1 member must be a representative of the city's extraterritorial jurisdiction
The CIAC shall not hold any meeting during any period when it is out of compliance with the two requirements above 4 members
The Capital Improvements Advisory Committee is under Chapter 395 of the Texas Local Government Code (particularly Sections .058, .056, and .0575(c)) and Chapter 314 of the City Code (per Ordinance Number 2006-1100.39 enacted on October 8, 2006). Serves in an advisory capacity and shall have the only authority granted to it by those provisions of the state law or city ordinance.
